The Hon. Jaala Pulford, Minister for Employment, Small Business and Innovation, Medical Research and the Digital Economy, paid a visit to the new Shepparton Art Museum building on Thursday to view the progress and meet with local contractors.
Work on the new SAM is nearing completion.
The construction of the new SAM on the edge of Victoria Park Lake has provided an opportunity for several local businesses to work on a large scale, one of a kind building project.
From steel work to landscaping and everything in between, the project has benefited local businesses with more employment, great experience and a chance to showcase regional capability to the rest of Australia.

Visitors to Victoria Park Lake will notice something new and colourful next to the build site for the Shepparton Art Museum.
Adjacent to the shared path on the western side of the site are several art panels completed by different groups in the community. There are still three panels to be added in mid-March but if you are walking past make sure you check it out, and if you decide to take photos for Instagram, don't forget to use the hashtag #NewSAM.

Greater Shepparton City Council welcomed the Hon Martin Foley, Minister for Mental Health, Equality and Creative Industries, to tour of the new Shepparton Art Museum today.
Minister Foley was in Shepparton as part of his portfolio in Creative Industries and also visited Kaiela Arts in High Street.
