The 'Friends' is a vibrant group who share a love of gardens, plants, the outdoors, and supporting the Australian Botanic Gardens.
The Friends of the Australian Botanic Gardens Shepparton always welcomes new members. The group holds fortnightly working bees at the gardens to help develop and plant new areas of the garden and to perform ongoing maintenance on developed garden beds.
Propagation sessions are currently held monthly. Some volunteers have lots of expertise in this area, and are happy to share their knowledge so all can participate.
The FABGS is not just about hard work; being a member will give you the chance to take part in fun social outings with like-minded people, participate in workshops and activities, as well as venture to other botanic gardens on excursions.
If you would like to find out more or join the FABGS, visit www.fabgs.org.au or follow the Friends on their Facebook page.
