FReeZa Program
The FReeZA program is based on a youth participation model where young people lead the planning, development and delivery of music, cultural and recreational events in their local community.
Greater Shepparton City Council received funding through the Victorian State Government to run the FReeZA Program 2022- 2024.
Young people have the chance to:
- have a say about what type of events and cultural activities are performed in their community;
- participate in creating music events and cultural activities in their community;
- develop skills in decision making and project leadership;
- participate in their communities as volunteers; and
- form close networks with local businesses, schools and other community organisations.
FReeZA events are drug, alcohol, vape and smoke free. They are held in supervised and safe venues.
