Need a planning permit?

Planning permits are about how you use your land. It considers zoning, land use, heritage, and environmental impact.

Generally, a planning permit is required for:

  • Changing the use of a property (for example, changing a shop to an office)
  • Commercial or industrial developments
  • Displaying business or promotional signage
  • Requesting a waiver or reduction of car parking requirements
  • Removing native vegetation
