Parking Permit Applications

Business parking permits are available in a number of Council off-street car parks, while other forms of temporary or permanent permits are also available.
Council offers four types of parking permits:
Temporary Parking Permits (short-term works)
The purpose of issuing Temporary Parking Bay Reservations is to cater for short-term works which have an impact in a specific location. This may include building demolition or constructions, other forms of construction or maintenance work, promotions for specific events/businesses, etc.
Reservation of bays is not intended to provide convenient parking, but to facilitate access to a vehicle or equipment which may be used consistently, or very regularly, in the pursuit of the applicant’s business.
Temporary Parking Permits (funeral services)
Council has a Temporary Parking Permit that is available for funeral homes located throughout Shepparton, Kialla and Mooroopna.
These permits are available to funeral homes, offering up to 10 permits per business allowing up to 10 bay/vehicles to be reserved for parking during a funeral service.

- The purpose of issuing a Temporary Parking Permit is to cater for short term parking in a specific locations where a funeral service is in progress.
- The permit is to be displayed on the passenger side of the front windscreen when in use. This will exempt the permit holder from paying parking fees and time limits (this is not for use in disability parking bays, loading zones, taxi or bus zones etc).
- The permit holder must display the permit so that all details are clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle.
- Permits are valid up until the expiry date listed on the permit.
- The reservation of parking bays is intended to provide convenient parking, to facilitate access to a vehicle or equipment which may be used for the purpose of a funeral service.
- Misuse of the parking bay reservation may result in the issue of a parking infringement notice.
Business Parking Permits
A Business Parking Permit entitles the holder and nominated vehicle to park for unlimited periods in the nominated car park. Six and 12 month permits are available.
The following car parks can be nominated for a Business Parking Permit (see Application Form for maps):
- Welsford Street Carpark
57 Welsford Street Shepparton VIC 3630
(opposite Council Offices) - Edward Street/Fryers Street Carpark
103 Fryers Street, Shepparton VIC 3630

This is not for the reservation of parking bays. Council does not guarantee that a parking bay will be available when required, and failure to clearly display a valid parking permit on the dashboard of the vehicle will result in a parking infringement notice being issued.
Returned Service Personnel Parking Permits
If you have served Australia in active military service in the theatre of war (recognised by the Department of Veterans Affairs) you may be eligible for a Returned Service Personnel Parking Permit.
