Following a reference from the House of Representatives on 7 August 2023, the Standing Committee on Economics has commenced an inquiry into insurers’ responses to claims arising from the major floods in 2022.
With many Greater Shepparton residents being affected by the floods, it is important that all those affected have a chance to tell their story and share with the committee their experiences of dealing with their insurer.
In recognition of the difficulties many people are still facing in getting their lives back on track, the committee has compiled a survey as a simple and effective way for people to engage with the inquiry. The survey is available on the inquiry’s webpage. The information gathered will greatly assist the committee in its work.
Learn about the inquiry and how to make a submission via the committee’s website.
If you have any questions about the inquiry or the survey, please contact the committee secretariat on (02) 6277 4707 or floodinsurance.reps@aph.gov.au.
