VICSES Local Flood Guides
Local Flood Guides has been developed by VICSES to provide the community with valuable local information to assist in preparing and responding to the risk of flooding.
Guides have been developed for Shepparton and Mooroopna, Congupna, Katandra West, Murchison and Tallygaroopna.
Property-Specific Flood Advice
Flood advice for your property can be obtained from the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority. Click here for more information on the GBCMA website.
The Goulburn Broken Community Flood Intelligence Portal allows you to view flood maps, search properties and create a property flood report and flood information including estimated 100-year ARI flood levels.
Health Victoria
Floods present many potential health hazards. Emergency workers and other support staff should ensure that members of the public are aware of the potential risks when they return to their homes after a flooding event.
A range of material is available on the Victorian Government's Health website for people who have been affected by floods, including guidance for treating swimming pools, private water sources and septic tanks in flood affected areas.
When people are planning to return to their homes after the flood waters have subsided, and the risks from floods waters have reduced to a level that is considered safe, there may still be many potential health hazards.

The Flood Victoria website was originally developed for the Victorian community by the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority on behalf of the State Flood Policy Committee.
This website is largely a portal that provides links to information from a number of different government departments and agencies and can direct you to other websites.
Australian Red Cross
The Australian Red Cross offers a range of valuable resources designed to help people to better prepare, respond to and recover from emergencies.
Resources are available for households, seniors, people with disabilities, parents of young children, psychosocial preparedness and coping with anniversaries.
