Skate Parks
Skateboarding in Greater Shepparton is a very popular sport. There are three skate parks within Greater Shepparton that offer our locals and visitors a wide range of technical challenges and sections for all abilities.

S-CAPE in Shepparton was completed in December 2001 at a cost of $300,000. Council sought funding from the Department of Sport and Recreation Victoria for $150,000. Council then contributed $100,000 and community contributions amounted to $50,000.
The design for the park was established by Aspect Designs and construction was completed by CONVIC Australia. The design styles and objectives were to have a street layout for use by rollerbladers, bmx, skate boards and scooters. X-ABITION Skate Park - Mooroopna
Mooroopna's Skate Park is located at Ferrari Park - McLennan Street Mooroopna.
The design of this skate park provides a unique facility to the Mooroopna area, something which is not found in any other location within the Council. The 6ft closed bowl will provide a new experience and an enduring facility for those interested in this facility, it will cater for BMX and skaters alike as a stand alone item or as an integral part of the park if used as a whole.
The 3 to 5 to 8 stair combination with rail utilises the elevation required for the construction of the bowl to add a challenging connection between the upper and lower levels. Adjacent to the Stairs is a ramp which creates a dynamic chute around and up the 1.5m quarter pipe extension, which in turn leads to a higher 1.8m extension, or back down towards the molded funbox and retuning back to the bowl.
For the beginners in Mooroopna there is the 0.3m ledge and ramp to the North of the bowl as well as the 0.2m high manual pad on the South side.
YOGI'S Skatepark - Tatura
Tatura's Skate Park was officially opened on the 9th of December 2000 and is located in Flanagans Lane (off Hogan Street) in Tatura.
The Yogi Skate Park has a funbox, grindbox, quarter pipe, grind rails and wedge/vert wall. The skate park caters for skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders.
