Delivering Health and Wellbeing Priorities

An annual review of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan will capture progress, monitor achievement and report completed tasks to Council and the Department of Health to meet statutory requirements of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 and the Local Government Act 2020.

This plan is integrated into the Greater Shepparton Council Plan 2025-2029

Across year one, 80 actions are identified as specifically contributing to health and wellbeing outcomes. Of these, 73 were progressed and 7 are to be commenced in the coming years, reflecting strong early implementation across the integrated plan.

Actions are structured against the 9 Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2023–2027 priorities, the adopted framework for Council’s integrated Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.

See below for the nine priority areas that Council and partner organisations are currently working on to achieve the priorities of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
