Answering the Call Leadership Course
Answering the Call is a tested leader development program designed specifically for community members and emergency response agencies. These session will build on the existing collaboration between community members, local responders, and Council, thus strengthening relationships and partnerships.

Develop decision-making, communication and leadership skills that will apply not only in an emergency context but also in family and work life.
Session times
- Saturday 9 August: 9am - 8.30pm
Includes a night training exercise - Sunday 10 August: 9am - 3pm
- Saturday 23 August: 9am - 3pm
- Sunday 24 August: 9am - 2.30pm
Attend all four sessions for a certificate of completion. Participants must be 16 years of age and above.
Note: The full program is in three parts, of which this is the final part. The earlier Community-Led Emergency Leadership Training workshops (held 9 & 30 July 2025) cover an 'Emergency Scenario' where we explore what happens in the first hours of any emergency, your plans and the skills that you have. Part two is the 'Community Exercise' where you actually get a chance to practice your planning and actions in a real time scenario.
