Studies have shown that when humans experience a feeling of awe, it has very strong positive effects on our wellbeing, and nature provides these types of experiences all around us.

During our Queer Nature Sunset Awe-dventure, we will head out to one of Shepparton’s most beautiful places, Reedy Swamp, to seek out all of the wonderful pieces of awe that nature has waiting for us.

Activities will include exploring the area, hunting for hidden treasures of awe, watching for awe-inspiring flight feats of local birds, and chilling out to watch the beautiful sunset, with a warm drink, and saying ‘aaaaaaawe’ in a long slow sigh as the sun goes down.

Arrive at 6pm for a light summer meal of salads and cold meats before we head out to awe-dventure! We’ll finish the night by coming together and sharing stories of our awe-dventures, over a warm cuppa, and campfire (weather dependent).
