Greater Shepparton City Council is aware of an incident involving a truck and a cyclist which occurred in Dookie around lunchtime yesterday, Thursday 21 September 2023, at the AusCycling event. Council’s thoughts are with the cyclist and their family.
Council thanks the first responders who attended the scene.
The matter is now under police investigation and Council is unable to provide further comment.
The event has resumed today with an amended course. For further details, visit the Auscycling website.
