Greater Shepparton City Council invites the region’s event planners to undertake a Risk Assessment workshop on Tuesday 27 September to improve their knowledge and skills and deliver safe events for the community.
Coordinating a craft market at the Shepparton Showgrounds, a community celebration at the Senior Citizens Hall, a community event or celebration in a Park or even a horse event at Tatura Equestrian Park, all require a risk assessment. Any events that are held on Council land and buildings require a risk assessment.
Council’s Risk Department will be coordinating the workshop, providing community members the opportunity to learn and ask questions from experts in the field.
Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Economic Development, Anthony Nicolaci said the session would provide key details to prepare risk assessments.
“We understand that local community groups may not have a lot of experience with undertaking risk assessments and this session will cover off on the essential information on how to start the assessment process or form, being able to identify potential risks and the requirements to complete a successful assessment,” Mr Nicolaci said.
This is a free event to attend and registrations are essential, please RSVP your attendance before Monday 26 September to events@shepparton.vic.gov.au
Event Details:
Date: Tuesday 27 September
Time: 6pm to 7pm
Location: Council Boardroom, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton Victoria.
