Broken River Bridge guardrail renewal - Archer Street, Shepparton
Posted on
Thursday 26th of March, 2026,
Upcoming construction works will take place at the Broken River Bridge on Archer Street in Shepparton, as part of Greater Shepparton City Council’s Guardrails for Road Bridges Renewals Program.
The guardrails on both approaches to the bridge will be upgraded to meet current safety standards.
Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 30 March 2026 and are expected to take approximately five days to complete, weather permitting.
During this period, localised traffic management and reduced speed limits will be in place for the duration of the works to maintain safe traffic flow through the worksite. Traffic controllers will manage alternating traffic over the bridge from 7am to 6pm, with minor delays to be expected. Where possible, motorists are encouraged to consider alternative routes.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these important renewal works and thanks the community for their cooperation and understanding.
