The Greater Shepparton Animal Shelter is holding two cat adoption days for the community with a reduced adoption fee of $20 for cats over 12 months of age.
The first of these days will be held tomorrow, Friday 3 February from 10am to 1pm and the second will be held on Saturday 11 February from 10am to 2pm at the Animal Shelter in Wanganui Road.
The Animal Shelter has 35 cats over the age of 12 months that need to find new homes. Potential cat owners do not need to make an appointment, just turn up during the specified times for a meet and greet.
Animal Shelter staff encourage people to check out the available cats online to pick out their favourite furry feline friend. There is also an online pet adoption questionnaire which can be completed before you get to the Shelter which will save time on arrival.
All cats have been vet checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for worms and fleas. Please note that kittens under 12 months are not included in the $20 adoption fee.
Everyone who adopts a cat will enter the draw to win a $100 Cat Pack which includes lots of items to help your cat settle into their new home.
For more information, visit Council’s Animal Shelter Page or call (03) 5832 9700.
