Greater Shepparton residents are being encouraged to share their thoughts on community safety in the region through a new survey.
Greater Shepparton City Council, along with the Greater Shepparton Safer Communities Advisory Committee, have compiled a Community Safety Survey for residents to share their thoughts and feedback on safety and how it might be improved.
The Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021 was adopted by Council in March 2018, and feedback received from the survey will help measure the actions and achievements of this strategy. It will also assist in identifying trends in community perception and experiences, and inform actions and initiatives to improve community safety and wellbeing in Greater Shepparton.
Mayor, Councillor Kim O'Keeffe encouraged anyone who lives, works or studies in Greater Shepparton to complete the survey.
“For Council to measure the success and identify any gaps in the Community Safety Strategy, we need the community’s help,” she said.
“I encourage everyone to fill out the survey and let us know what they think about community safety in the region.
“We want to know if you feel safe, if you have any concerns or how you think safety can be improved for residents and visitors.”
To complete the survey, visit the Shaping Greater Shepp website.
