Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Cr Seema Abdullah, and Councillors acknowledge the impacts of COVID-19 are incredibly tough on everyone.
We want to thank the community for adhering to restrictions during each unpredictable week.
However, we cannot take our foot off the gas just yet. As we move into the ‘new normal’, please continue to practice good hygiene and follow advice set by State and Federal Governments.
Mayor Cr Abdullah and Councillors also wish to extend our thanks to Council’s Executive Leadership Team and staff, for their hard work, perseverance and leadership throughout this emergency.
Staff have adapted to deliver crucial community services under pressure, which has not gone unnoticed. It must be mutually uplifting to see services begin to expand and reopen.
The Greater Shepparton community has once again demonstrated great resilience in the face of adversity. We have battled droughts, floods, fires, economic hardship, and a now a pandemic. These testing times do not break us. They make Greater Shepparton stronger.
Thanks to your continued efforts, we are confident that together we will move toward a COVID-19 safe environment.
For this, we thank you.
