Countdown begins for Melbourne Victory A-League Women’s match in Greater Shepparton

Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding residents to secure their tickets for the upcoming A-League Women’s fixture between Melbourne Victory and Newcastle Jets, starting at 5pm on Saturday 7 February 2026 at John McEwen Reserve, Shepparton Sports City.

Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, encouraged the community to embrace this exciting opportunity.

“Bringing Melbourne Victory and Newcastle Jets to Shepparton is about creating opportunities for our young athletes to see what’s possible and inspiring the next generation of football talent. This event strengthens Greater Shepparton’s position as the leading sporting capital of regional Victoria,” he said.

"There’s still time to secure your tickets, but don’t wait too long. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience elite football right here in Shepparton.”

Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie, said the fixture is about creating pathways for regional players.

“We are excited to bring a competitive A-League Women’s match and our Community Programs to Shepparton, further developing the Club’s connection to regional Victoria. All local fans can enjoy elite sporting entertainment, and young people can be inspired by the country’s best talent,” she said.

Delivered in partnership with Melbourne Victory and the Victorian Government, the initiative strengthens the growing connection between elite football and the Greater Shepparton community.
