Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding the community that the consultation period for the new Tatura Skate Park closes this Friday 4 April 2025 at 5.00pm.
In Summary
The second in-person community consultation session, held on Monday 24 March, saw fantastic engagement from residents, with many valuable ideas and suggestions shared. One of the standout proposals was the realignment of the skate park footprint, which offers several potential benefits, including:
The initial design footprint had the skate park positioned North-South, the new alignment will see it positioned East-West. Please see the site plan attached on page two for reference.
Council’s Director Infrastructure, Gary Randhawa, encouraged residents to provide their feedback before the deadline.
“This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the Tatura Skate Park and ensure it meets the needs of local skaters, BMX riders, and scooter users,” he said.
“Community input has been invaluable so far, and we want to hear from as many people as possible before the consultation closes.”
Residents can submit their feedback online via the Shaping Greater Shepp website here until 5.00pm on Friday 4 April 2025.
