With the first instalment of rates due by the end of this month, Greater Shepparton City Council would like to remind ratepayers that there are payment options available for those needing assistance.
Council acknowledges the resilience shown by the community during the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Greater Shepparton and the difficult financial impact it has had on residents and businesses.
With the first rates instalment due on Thursday, 30 September ratepayers are encouraged to contact Council if they are experiencing any financial hardship. Options are available for any ratepayers who may be experiencing difficulty in making a payment or for those who would like to enter into an arrangement that better suits their current situation.
“Council understands how difficult things have been over the past few weeks due to the outbreak in Greater Shepparton and the impact it has had on locals and business owners,” Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe said.
“We strongly encourage anyone experiencing financial hardship to contact Council and chat about the options available to assist them in paying their rates.”
Rate payments can be made at any Post Office, via internet, telephone banking, direct debit or by visiting Council’s website for online payments greatershepparton.com.au/
For more information or to find out what options are available to you, contact Council via 5832 9700 or email council@shepparton.vic.gov.au
