Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding residents and business owners that free graffiti removal kits are available through the Wipeout Graffiti Removal Kit Program, a joint initiative between Council and Victoria Police.
This initiative supports residents in removing graffiti from private and commercial properties, while supporting Victoria Police and Greater Shepparton City Council to better track trends in Graffiti activity in the community.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the program reflects a shared effort to maintain pride in the local area.
“This initiative gives our community the tools to respond quickly to vandalism. By reporting graffiti, and using these free kits, we can empower locals to take pride in their streets, while also giving Victoria Police and Council the information needed to identify trends and act on them,” he said.
Graffiti Removal kits can be requested in person at the Shepparton Police Station or at the Customer Service Counter at Council’s Welsford Street Office.
When requesting your graffiti kit from Council, please provide details of the property affected by graffiti. This information will help support future community graffiti prevention initiatives.
We encourage the Greater Shepparton community to report incidents of graffiti through the Police Assistance Line (131 444) to enable recording of graffiti trends and locations to support future preventative measures.
