Greater Shepparton City Council reminds residents the March Ordinary Council Meeting, due to be held on Tuesday 31 March, will take place in Riverlinks Eastbank and not the Council Boardroom.
The meeting was set for Tuesday 17 March, but was postponed due to lack of quorum.
The change of location to a larger space will allow physical distancing measures to be introduced and followed.
Function Room 1 and Function Room 2 at Riverlinks Eastbank will be joined to create a space large enough to hold the meeting safely.
The Ordinary Council Meeting will begin at 5.30pm, and the agenda will be posted to Council’s website by 5pm Friday 27 March.
Following the latest measures announced by the Federal Government, the public gallery will be limited to just two people.
Council will live stream the meeting on its Facebook page and encourages residents to make use of this function at this time, particularly with the State Government direction to minimise day to day activities outside of your home.
Council reminds those attending the meeting of the importance of practicing good hygiene upon entry and exit of Riverlinks Eastbank.
Council thanks the Greater Shepparton community for their understanding, and apologises for any inconvenience caused by changes to meeting arrangements.
