Goulburn Vibes did not disappoint on Saturday as crowds came to enjoy the music, food and river scenery this Easter weekend.
The free outdoor live music event, brought the community together for an intimate setting and saw 500 attendees celebrating music, food and nature.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Kim O’Keeffe said it was outstanding to see locals and visitors embrace the event.
“2022 has been a landmark year for events in Greater Shepparton this year alone we have seen the return of the Shepparton Festival, Land of Plenty Festival, as well as new events such as Illuminate and the highly anticipated White Night this winter. Among these great events Goulburn Vibes brings its own wonderful qualities, where else can you enjoy an evening along the lake and river, surrounded by majestic red gums with soulful music weaving through the night,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“Goulburn Vibes has always drawn successful numbers and this year was no exception with 500 attendees from around the region.”
The evening began with local musicians and emerging artists Ludlow Twins, followed by singer-songwriter Ryan Gay and ended with social media sensation Rory McKenna and Band entertaining with a fusion of neo soul, jazz and R&B styles.
Picnic rugs, deck chairs and bean bags filled up Western Park quickly with locals and visitors enjoying the festival vibes and enjoy a relaxing evening treating themselves to local vendors Chow Town, Grill on Wheels, M&R Coffee Van and caravan bar Grandpa Charlie who collaborated with Tallis Wines and Mogs brewery to serve a selection Shepparton and Goulburn Valley beers and wines.
“Council is always looking to grow its calendar of events to support locals improving the region’s livability and attracting visitors. With our leading sporting facilities, agricultural and food offerings, and arts and culture attractions Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley has become a leading regional City.”
If you attended Goulburn Vibes, Council would like to hear from you, head to the link and fill out the survey with your thoughts on Goulburn Vibes and our future events.
The survey closes on Saturday 30 April. Shaping Greater Shepparton.
To continue enhancing the visitor experience of the municipality Council has provided a Visitor Experience Innovation Grant open for local businesses to implement initiative that help increase visitation.
