Public toilet replacement completed at Victoria Park Lake

Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to advise of the completion of the new Harry Bird public toilet and shower facility on Tom Collins Drive, Shepparton, which has now reopened to the public.

This new facility has been delivered as part of Council’s Public Toilet Replacement Program, replacing the old building with modern, accessible amenities.

The new amenities include three accessible cubicles equipped with toilets and hot water shower facilities, ensuring greater comfort, convenience and accessibility for users.

Council’s Director Infrastructure, Aidin Montazami, said the project demonstrates Council’s ongoing commitment to improving community infrastructure and ensuring public spaces remain welcoming and accessible for everyone.

“The new Harry Bird toilet facility provides a contemporary and accessible amenity that better meets the needs of our community and visitors to Victoria Park Lake,” he said.

“Investing in high-quality public amenities is an important part of maintaining vibrant public spaces and enhancing the liveability of Greater Shepparton for current and future generations.”

The new facility has been constructed in the same location as the previous building and is now available for community use. The upgraded amenities are expected to serve the community for many years to come.

Council thanks residents and visitors for their patience during construction and encourages the community to make use of the new facility when visiting Victoria Park Lake.
