Register your interest now for the 2026 Greater Shepparton Business Festival

Greater Shepparton City Council, proudly supported by Asuria, GOTAFE, Greater Shepparton Business Network (GSBN), La Trobe University and Workforce Australia, is inviting local businesses to register their interest now for the 2026 Greater Shepparton Business Festival.

Running from Monday 3 August 2026 to Friday 21 August 2026, the festival is back bigger than ever with a practical and energising program of workshops, events, one special keynote event and networking opportunities designed to help local businesses learn, connect and grow.

This year’s program will offer more choice for busy business owners, with sessions held across Greater Shepparton as well as some online options. From marketing and AI to tendering, workforce support, cyber security, finance and more.

This year’s program will also feature a special keynote event, with the keynote speaker to be revealed at the launch event on Monday 13 July 2026.

Designed for business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals and anyone wanting to build practical skills, the festival will bring together experienced presenters, local organisations and industry partners to share useful insights and real-world tools.

Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali encouraged local business owners, operators, professionals and those looking to develop new skills to register their interest.

“Last year’s Greater Shepparton Business Festival was a fantastic success, bringing local businesses together to learn new skills, build connections and access practical support close to home,” he said.

“This year’s program builds on that momentum, with even more opportunities for businesses to step away from the day-to-day, hear from experienced presenters and explore ideas that can support their future growth.”

New in 2026, the festival will feature a Business Support Showcase on Tuesday 4 August 2026, bringing together an afternoon of workshops, business support and networking in one convenient day, followed by the special keynote event.

Council’s Economic Development Engagement Coordinator, Karen Mellington said the festival had been shaped around practical learning, flexibility and the needs of the local business community.

“We know business owners are busy, so this year’s program offers more choice in how people take part, with sessions held across Greater Shepparton as well as online options,” she said.

“This year’s program is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with a strong mix of practical workshops, events, keynote sessions and networking opportunities available at no cost.”

“It brings together experienced presenters, local organisations and industry partners to give businesses practical tools, useful insights and information they can apply straight away.”

A launch event will be held in partnership with the Greater Shepparton Business Network from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Monday 13 July 2026 at The Peppermill Inn, Kialla. Attendees will be among the first to hear about this year’s program and connect with local business leaders, partners and presenters. Registrations to attend the launch are essential and can be made via our website.

The full program will be released at the launch event on Monday 13 July 2026. To register your interest and be among the first to receive the program direct to your inbox, subscribe to the Greater Shepparton Business Festival email list.
