The Winter City Market is back this year featuring a brand new look.
The Market will be held on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August 2023 in the Maude Street precinct on Friday from 10am to 5pm and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Greater Shepparton City Council encourages the community and visitors to save the date and get ready to shop local, with two days of special deals and promotions on offer.
To celebrate the end of winter, Shepparton’s CBD will come to life with music, family entertainment and activities, as well as delicious food from restaurants and cafes located in the CBD.
This year will be the first time the Winter City Market returns following the redevelopment of the Maude Street precinct.
Council’s Place Manager, Bonnie McIntosh, said she is working with local businesses to activate the economy and create opportunities for businesses in the precinct to thrive and connect with the community.
“The annual markets have always been a community favourite. We are looking forward to visitors and locals taking advantage of the special offers and enjoying a day out with their families,” she said.
“A range of kid’s activities including face painting, balloon creations, and boutique crafts stalls will be here for everyone to enjoy over the weekend.”
John Anderson, President of the Greater Shepparton Business Network, formerly Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed all traders and shoppers to participate and enjoy the fun and bargains available at the Winter City Market.
“Over these two days there will be entertainment, food and best of all, goods to purchase at reduced prices. This is an opportunity to make a start on Christmas shopping and make great savings.”
Mark the calendar for the great promotions on offer across the CBD. Shoppers are encouraged to get out, shop local and enjoy the final days of winter.
For further event details, follow Council’s social media pages or view the Facebook Event Page.
Please be aware Maude Street will be closed to traffic during the event between Fryers Street and High Street.
