Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise the community of upcoming construction works on Stewarton Road, Dookie.
In Summary
As part of Council’s Major Culvert Renewal Program, works on the crossing of the road and a natural watercourse will be undertaken to replace the culvert structure and install new guard railing.
Construction is planned to begin on Monday 13 May 2024 and it is anticipated the works will take approximately ten weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Stewarton Road will be closed to traffic at the immediate site, between Nalinga North Road and Dookie - Nalinga Road, where a detour route will be in place. The signed detour route will be via Thomas Road, Duggans Road, Stewarton Road, Nalinga North Road, Midland Highway and Dookie - Nalinga Road. Local resident’s access will remain throughout the construction period.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of these important renewal works, and thanks the community for their cooperation and understanding.
