Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to announce the Health and Wellbeing Event is back for its third year, with attendees offered a day to pause, breath and reconnect with their own health and wellbeing journeys.
This year, Council has partnered with the GV Health Foundation to bring the Health and Wellbeing Event alongside the inaugural Ladies Who Lunch Event, on Sunday 29 October 2023 at Riverlinks Eastbank in Shepparton.
The Health and Wellbeing Event will run from 9am to 4pm, with attendees given access to more than 30 local professionals and innovators across the health and wellbeing industry, along with workshops, talks, demonstrations and a tote bag full of goodies.
Tickets are on sale now, with all funds raised from the event going towards the GV Health Foundation to support women’s oncology at GV Health.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Team Leader Marketing, Liz Connick, said the Health and Wellbeing Event was set to be an invigorating day for Greater Shepparton.
“The Health and Wellbeing Event is an opportunity to hear from the best and the brightest in our region. The day provides a chance to come together with like-minded people for feel-good activities, and to level up your physical, mental and spiritual health,” she said.
“Attendees can expect to leave the event feeling ready to live a more fulfilled life. Over the past few years we have seen many new and innovative health and wellbeing services open in the region and we look forward to bringing some of these together and showcasing what is on offer in the sector.
“Tickets are on sale now, so make sure you jump online and secure your tickets early. It is set to be a great event and one not to be missed.”
Tickets for the Health and Wellbeing Event can be purchased for $39. Tickets for the Ladies Who Lunch Event are $100, and include full access to the Health and Wellbeing Event.
Director GV Health Foundation and Engagement, Claire Ewart-Kennedy, said the Foundation was looking forward to bringing the inaugural Ladies Who Lunch Event to Greater Shepparton.
“The Greater Shepparton community would all know the Pink Ribbon Brunch which was held for many years in the region and which was a huge success. This event has now been reimaged into the Ladies Who Lunch Event and we are extremely proud to bring back a day of celebration with engaging speakers, giftbags, raffles and much more,” she said.
“People can start the day by exploring the Health and Wellbeing Event, engage with professional services, specialised talks and workshops, then head into the Ladies Who Lunch event, listen to guest speakers and celebrate with the people who matter most to you.
“The day aims to raise much needed funds for an Integrated Cancer Centre and dedicated oncology services for women in Greater Shepparton. Tickets for the Ladies Who Lunch Event are almost sold out, so be sure to buy now if you haven’t already.”
Expressions of Interest are still open for exhibitors for the Health and Wellbeing Event, with applications closing on Thursday 31 August 2023. Health and wellbeing businesses wanting to connect with the community, meet hundreds of local customers and join in celebrating the best the region has to offer are encouraged to get involved.
