Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to advise that tickets for the A-League pre-season friendly match between Melbourne Victory and the GV Suns, on Saturday 7 September 2024, are still available for purchase via TryBooking at a discounted rate.
In Summary
Pre-purchased online ticket sales will close at 4.00pm on Friday 6 September 2024. Family tickets (two adults and two children) can be purchased for $40.00 instead of the $50.00 gate price, and adult tickets can be purchased for $15.00 instead of $20.00.
Once you arrive at Shepparton Sports City for the match, there will be two entry gates to make access quicker for patrons. One gate will be used for the pre-purchased tickets brought online and the other will be used for patrons buying tickets on arrival.
With an expected crowd of roughly 2,000 people, Council is recommending patrons arrive early to secure a car park. Council also encourages residents to carpool where possible. Bag checks will be conducted by security prior to entry, no BYO alcohol is allowed.
Gates will open at 5.00pm with kick off scheduled for 6.30pm. Food, refreshments, bar and merchandise sales will also open from 5.00pm.
There will also be an opportunity to get signatures and photos with some of the Melbourne Victory players prior to the match. This will be at the Shepparton Junior Soccer Association Gala Day from 4.15pm to 4.45pm at the Small Pavilion, which is open to the general public.
Stay tuned to Council’s social media platforms for event updates throughout the week. Council’s Mayor, Cr Shane Sali, encouraged residents to purchase tickets online to avoid disappointment.
“To avoid the risk of being in long queues, we invite our community to jump online and pre-purchase your tickets. Not only will this save you time entering the ground, the tickets online will be available for a lower cost than what they will be at the gate,” he said.
“I want to encourage all of Greater Shepparton to experience this unique opportunity, and see some of the A-League’s best players at our premier regional sporting facility.
You can purchase your tickets at TryBooking here.
