Works at GV Link Enterprise Park, at 250 Toolamba Road, Mooroopna, continue to progress, with Stage 1 of the roundabout works nearing completion and the subdivided lots taking shape.
Works at the site commenced in April, with Greater Shepparton City Council and contractor BMD Urban, making good progress on Stage 1. This stage involves:
Bulk earthworks across the four lots are nearing completion. Works along Simson Road and Innovation Drive – a new road through the subdivision – are well underway, along with construction of the site’s wetland.
Stage 1 of the roundabout is now structurally complete, with asphalt works planned for January 2026. Stage 2, which involves works alongside the railway line, is scheduled to commence in late January, which will result in a change of traffic conditions to enable the Stage 2 works to be completed.
Utility service connections have also progressed well, with works through the Mooroopna township now complete. Connections towards Rumbalara Road are expected to be finished before Christmas, while works further along Toolamba Road, towards the Mooroopna Police Station and across the Midland Highway, will continue in early 2026.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, thanked the community for their patience and understanding while works have been undertaken.
“We understand the significant impact these works have had on traffic flow in the area. We appreciate the community’s patience while construction has been underway and traffic diversions have been in place,” he said.
“The team have made great progress on site this year. GV Link Enterprise Park will support greater investment in our region, paving the way for future development stages, new industry and key projects.
“It’s fantastic to see strong partnerships with local businesses and community groups maintained throughout the works, ensuring shared benefits and economic growth for Greater Shepparton.”
Several local community groups have already benefited from the project, receiving a share of the timber recovered from the bulk earthworks. The Dookie United Football Netball Club and Mooroopna Men’s Shed have received felled large timber for their community fundraising initiatives, while the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority has also received large root balls to support native fish habitat recovery.
BMD Urban Regional Operations Manager, Greg Stevens, said significant local supplier investment was a hallmark of the project.
“We have approximately 30 local - small to medium - enterprises involved in the construction, which was a commitment from BMD Urban that is being delivered. We are proud to be supporting local suppliers to deliver a project that creates jobs and opportunities for Greater Shepparton,” he said.
Works on site will pause over Christmas, with after-care traffic management remaining in place. Construction will recommence in January, with Stage 1 of GV Link Enterprise Park expected to be completed by the end of April 2026.
