Minor and Major Event Grant
Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to offer funding for minor and major events which support and contribute economically, socially and culturally through participation and visitation to our community and improve the attractiveness and liveability of Greater Shepparton.

This grant will be open from Monday 1 July 2024 at 9am and will close on Sunday 11 August 2024 at 5pm.
About this grant
The intention of the funding is to facilitate events which will increase and enhance community spirit, participation, inclusion and wellbeing. This can be achieved via the following categories:
- Sporting events.
- Arts and cultural events which celebrate the diversity and cultural heritage of the region such as:
- indigenous events;
- art and music events; and
- multicultural and food-based events.
- Business events and conferences.
- Community events and festivals.
Funded events must be able to demonstrate that they are inclusive, have wide community support, attract visitation to the region and where appropriate are sustainable past Council’s funding.
There are two funding streams available:
- Minor Funding Stream: from $500 up to $2,000
- Major Funding Stream: from $2,000 up to $5,000
These grants aim to support and engage the community by embracing cultural harmony and diversity. There are two rounds available each financial year.
